Lineage Committees

The Franklin County (Ohio) Genealogical and Historical Society has five Lineage Classifications for members to recognized their ancestors.  The Pioneer Family category has been in existence since 1981.  Four new categories were added in 2011.  These classifications allow you to honor your Franklin County ancestor(s) and support the work of our Society. (Society By-Laws)

We highly recommend that you join a Lineage Society. By doing so you let others know about your ancestors. This is a way of honoring them. Also by joining you are letting others know the surnames that you are researching. This gives you the opportunity to meet someone who is researching the same names. Could be they are just across town, or across the country.
